Greenlevel.org:About
From Greenlevel.org
AN ELECTRONIC ARCHIVE DEVOTED TO CAPE TOWN, 1981-1990, A PERSONAL HISTORY OF TEN YEARS OF STUDENT PROTEST.
As many of you know, Kim's death started us thinking about the 1980s at UCT, and what they meant to us, then and now. So, finally we have got it together to launch the Greenlevel.org project -- an archive-creating, memory-sharing, oral history for the electronic age -- a gift to ourselves and our children. So far, we have thought about this project as a very personal history of student politics at UCT in the 1980s, rather than a definitive political analysis of the student movement of the time(!). That said, this is a joint project, so feel free to go where your instincts, interests and memories take you...
One important guideline: to get this project off the ground and keep it manageable, let's keep it to UCT and keep it within those 10 years (1980/81-1990).
